Concerts and events
Shtetl Berlin Festival 2026 spans the full range of Yiddish cultural expression — from an opening night of brand-new poetry and music to a deep dive into medieval Jewish repertoire, from the beloved chaos of a klezmer jam to the rarefied world of chamber improvisation. The festival's headline concerts bring the legendary Hungarian ensemble Muzsikás to Berlin for their 50th anniversary program of Jewish folk music from Maramaros, and close with an extraordinary meeting between Berlin's own Khupe and the Moguilevsky Lerner Duo from Argentina. Woven throughout are workshops, lectures, and a traditional non-traditional Shabes — six days tracing the many lives Yiddish culture has lived and continues to live.
