Shtetl Berlin 2026 is back!

Shtetl Berlin 2026 is our biggest and most exciting festival yet — a full program of concerts spanning the entire spectrum of the music, from early Yiddish repertoire and poetry in stunning modern settings to free improvisational klezmer and legendary deep-roots bands. Beyond the stage, dive into workshops in klezmer music and Yiddish song, thought-provoking lectures, and intimate sessions with some of the most inspiring artists working in this music today. Bring the whole family for a dedicated kids' program, dance the night away at our klezmer dance, join us for a leisurely klezmer brunch, and so much more. Whatever brings you to Yiddish culture, there's a place for you here.

Concerts and events

This year's concert program is our most diverse yet — klezmer jams, a Shabes party, a dance, new settings of Yiddish poetry, historic Jewish music, and a creative deep dive with the Moguilevsky Lerner Duo, all anchored by the legendary Muzsikás with their celebrated program Maramaros — The Lost Jewish Music. Full details coming soon.

Workshops and lectures

Across Saturday and Sunday, we're offering workshops in Yiddish song, klezmer music, and dance, alongside a lecture series on Jewish life in Berlin and Germany — plus special spotlight sessions with the festival's guest artists. Something for every level of curiosity and experience.

Kids' and Family programs

Shtetl Berlin is a festival for the whole family — musician or not. On both Saturday and Sunday, while you explore workshops and lectures, your kids can dive into the magical world of Yiddish stories and get creative in their own program. And on Sunday, don't miss our afternoon Yiddish dance party — for all ages, guaranteed fun.
