Shabes in Shtetl — A Friday Night Celebration for Everyone

Come hang with us for a very special Friday evening at Nikodemus KulturKirche! Doors open at 18:00 for a klezmer jam session — bring your instrument or just come to listen, shmooze, and settle into the Shabes mood. At 19:30, we'll light candles together and share a short Yiddish version of the traditional sabbath rituals, followed by a curated program of music, poetry, and culture featuring performers from this year's festival ensembles, along with some special surprise guests.

All are welcome — children especially! While we'll feature some of the beautiful traditional Friday night rituals like candle lighting and blessing the wine, this is first and foremost a celebration of community, togetherness, and the chance to meet new people.
