Nana Schewitz, Berlin’s premiere Judeo-nonagenarian drag creature, explores what it means to be visibly Jewish in a country which has learned only to apologize profusely to her. She is a full-time Performance Artist and Lighting Designer for theater, dance, nightlife, and music. A South Florida native, Nana Schewitz has been performing in and around the Berlin performance scene since 2016. Some of her self-produced works include The Nana Schewtiz Pass-Me-Over Party which toured to both Edinburgh and Prague Fringe festivals. Nana is a member of the House of Presents drag collective, the Nana of the Haus of BuBu, co-producer of the cabaret Jews! Jews! Jews! Cabaret, and curator of her artisanal poppers line: Kosher Pig.
