Rather than host our annual festival around Hannukah this year, Shtetl Berlin has teamed up with various organizations in Berlin to co-present 6 wonderful evenings of klezmer music, Yiddish song, cabaret, exhibitions, candle-lighting, and Hannukah spirit spread all through the city.

Shtetl Berlin joins Hillel Deutschland and the mayor of Neukölln, Martin Hikel, as well as representatives of Fraenkelufer Synagogue and Shalom Rollberg for a heymish Neukölln Hannukah candle-lighting in front of the Rathaus. It will be a sweet end to our "Nisht-keyn-Festival" and a happy holiday moment to share with friends in the Bezirk!

In what has become an annual tradition, Shtetl Berlin joins the JMB once again on the first night of Hannukah to welcome the week of light. A Program is planned for young and old, seasonally appropriate nourishment - latkes, sufganiot, and Glühwein - will be offered. All topped off with a musical celebration of the first candle lighting by your favorite Shtetl Berlin All-Stars-Ensemble. Free of charge!
